Ok, I just logged out of X and every time I try to restart it it complains that it can't open /var/log/XFree86.0.log, which does not seem to exist. I tried to create the file but I am unable to, and even "ls" brings up entries that say "permission denied" in that directory, even when logged in as root. Is this likely filesystem corruption? I've never had a problem with reiser before, but maybe their's an issue in the test3 kernel. Any ideas? Any help appreciated. |
