i use xfce4, im looking for something that regulates battery charge and etc... since the battery app doesnt do that im open to suggestions.
in the end i want, for instance, to be able to charge only 50 or 60% of the battery at one time.
also... it would be nice if its something that counts the 'charged' amount accurately.
any ideas or hints with anything related to batteries, power, or laptops are well appreciated.

On the first question I cannt help you, but can you please tell me why do you need such an option?
2. The messurment is done via the kernel, so it is not dependant on your program.
cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state <- This is what your program uses. |

id want such an option so i can maximize my battery life.
also i have a key in my laptop, that when pressed it cuts the power from charging to the battery, and its no working. getting that to work alone would eb an immense progress... |
