Hello,

I've a macbook, I'm in ~amd64 and I use the 2.6.26 gentoo-sources kernel (and I tried the 2.6.26.2 vanilla kernel too).

I added the isight firmware loader and uvc video driver in my kernel config, then my isight worked.

But now, it didn't, I don't know which update created the problem and dmesg log don't help.

My problem: I haven't my /dev/video0 anymore.

Code:
dante@iris:~ % lsusb
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 05ac:021b Apple Computer, Inc.
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 046d:c016 Logitech, Inc. M-UV69a Optical Wheel Mouse
Bus 005 Device 002: ID 05ac:1000 Apple Computer, Inc.
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 05ac:8300 Apple Computer, Inc.
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001
Bus 004 Device 002: ID 05ac:8240 Apple Computer, Inc. IR Receiver [build-in]
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001

My isight is "Bus 001 Device 004: ID 05ac:8300 Apple Computer, Inc." and like you see, it's not recognize like an isight anymore.

dmesg when I load the modules :
Code:
usbcore: registered new interface driver uvcvideo
USB Video Class driver (v0.1.0)
firmware: requesting isight.fw
usbcore: registered new interface driver isight_firmware

I didn't change my kernel config

I don't know what to do.

Thanks

My mistake, I put CONFIG_VIDEO_ALLOW_V4L1=y for no serious reason and I think that's the problem.

I remove it from my kernel config and my isight is back.
