Hi all,
When building a RAID, should I add /dev/sda, /dev/sdb, etc ? or partition first, and use /dev/sda1 /dev/sdb1 etc?

| If you don't use device partitions, you can't set their type to RAID autodetect. In other words, your array will not auto assemble unless you specify it mdadm.conf or grub.conf. It's not a problem, it's just something you should be aware of. |
