Well itried everything including setting suid but nothing has worked so far.
Has anybody got it working?

This is a known bug in KDE.

lol its funny you posted that link.
I had reported that bug but was hoping somebody might have found a workaound for that in gentoo as that bug has not been assigned to any kde dev yet and its lowest on their priority.
