hey people!

is it possible to automatically load the prism2 firmware on a pcmcia card when inserted?

i have a netgear MA401 and i always have to

Code:
# update firmware of ma401 card (new hostap firmware)

prism2_srec wlan0 -gp ~/Latest-prism/primary-RAM/ak010104.hex
prism2_srec wlan0 -rp ~/Latest-prism/secondary-RAM/rf010804.hex

before starting the network interface for this card (in order to use WPA).

regards and thanks in advance,

sirld

Hi,

i think, you can do it in the modules.d directory via a pre or postload script which runs before or after the module is loaded.
