Hi, everyone,
I seem to have gotten myself in quite a bit of trouble: I upgraded Python to 2.5.x, then ran python-updater, but I don't think it got to finish (power went down and I hadn't checked on the box for a few hours). Now, when I boot up, I get
| Code: | | Dependency info is missing! Please run /sbin/depscan.sh to fix this. |
I am dropped to a console, but depscan finishes instantly with no output and the problem does not go away.
Other than running python-updater (which I am currently doing), is there anything else I could try?

That could be trouble. I had the power go out once when I was running prelink, what a mess that was.
Can you emerge anything? If so run |

OK, python-updater might not have been interrupted -- I ran it again and ended up with different versions being pulled in the same slot. After solving those and updating boost for gcc-4.3, I am running the updater again. Apart from emerging 90-ish programs, all seems to go all right, so I might solve this yet without an empty-tree emerge. Will post outcome.

OK, python-updater finished after 5 and a half hours (partly due to my spectaculously crappy Internet connection), I had to update nearly 50 config files, including some initscripts, and everything's fine now.
