hi there,
i have a remote box (currently updated to the latest sources) and it freezes sometimes. first freeze was on 01.09 03:05, second freeze was today 03.09 00:01.
i searched the logs and found nothing - no entry.
now i wanted to know what i can do. i wanted to do a memory test but there is no memory that does his job on runtime only when i boot it, right?
are there any other checks i can do?
kind regards _________________ -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK-----

You could try sys-apps/memtester - this is a linux app (runs as root to test the most amount of memory by locking instead of using virtual memory).
However I've found that sudden freezes with no trace tends to be motherboard, or rarely, cpu (overheating, but depends on the CPU?) issues. _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD
