I've got an intel 965 base laptop. The LVDS (laptop LCD) is on pipe B and the external is on pipe A. So the external is always first - when atached.

Is there a way to keep the "desktop" on the laptop screen?

I have a CRT TV which has a VGA connector that takes only 640x480. So everything on the top gets screwed up because it's at least a half longer then the TV's screen...

I realy want to use this and not the TVout because the image quality on the VGA kicks ass.

Any thoughts?

BTW. I have all the newest ~amd64 x11 stuff.
