not possible to install stage 1?

might it be that it is not posible to install from stage 1 at the moment?

everytime i try to run bootstrap.sh it starts to compile normaly, but alway suffers when it comes to unpack gcc.

is the current package of gcc corrupt on the mirrors??
or is it just me doing something wrong?

if it's the mirrors, can you tell me a mirror, from what i can install stage one without problems?

I just did the install from Stage 1 last night. I had no problems running bootstrap.sh last night from what I could tell at least - and did emerge system today and again it looked while it was running ok at least from what I saw before leaving for work. I'm thinking you might've missed a step - I did that quite a few times last night and had to start certain steps over.

perhaps it is just an outdated packet on my mirror???

i don't think i did something wrong cause i followed the manual step by step

Erm, I wasn't really paying attention to what mirror it was on since it kicked in and started with no issues whatsoever. Sorry I can't be more of a help - I just don't pay attention to stuff like that when things are working correctly. :roll:
