KDE 4.1 freezes partially after starting...

I'm using an x86 with a GeForce 2 440 MX and installed KDE 4.1 according to http://gentoo-wiki.com/KDE4. Everything works fine. KDE starts up and works for about a minute and then the screen freezes. After some minutes of waiting everything is fine again. Any idea what could be wrong???
