instaled aterm on my fluxbox i want to start one from .xinitrc to do a tail -f /var/log/messages is there any way you can controle where on screen is it placed/geomtery i want it on the botom part of my screen _________________ gentoo = u're free

sure it is, man aterm or aterm --help and check for geometry, eg. to run in the the lower left corner of the screen use:

aterm -g 130x50+20-0

130 means width, 50 means height (in characters), the rest is the position

but better idea would be to use root-tail
