hi
I installed Gentoo with the live CD successfully. once i boot up I get a localhost login. then i login as root and try to install a windows manager but i need a internet connection but i dont know how to get my WLAN or LAN to work so i can download a WM. Please help!

did you install a dhcp client like dhcpcd? if not, you will need to reboot into the live cd and chroot back into your gentoo install.
