I am currently looking for a email prog. I have used evolution and didn't like it. I did like the one that comes with mozilla but it had no spell check and i hated that browser. So i just want to hear what browsers you guys use and what features you like about them.

KMail =) Although, admittedly, I also use KDE as my primary WM, so I may be biased...I like it because it's simple, it doesn't do all the extra stuff that Evolution does, but still has a well-designed GUI interface with support for pretty much every feature I need in an email program (Ability to use output of a program for signatures, PGP support, IMAP, SSL connections)...and it came with KDE, so it fits in well with the other apps =P

If you are interested a spellchecker can be added to mozilla. There is a method that has been posted here in the forums and you can get the ebuild at bugzilla. It works reasonably well.

Hello Gents,

Another vote for Kmail here. The same reasons kesereti listed above. It's simple, well designed and provides me with all the features I need, including a spell checker. KDE is my preferred desktop environment, so Kmail integrates perfectly well into it.
What more could I ask for. God bless the Kmail filters, I don't need spam assasin anymore.

Regards,

Mystilleef

Well, another vote for KMail. You can use it as a simple e-mail client, but since it can interact with other KDE-apps its functionality can be extended (kpim f.e.).

I use it as a simple e-mail client. The only thing that's annoying for me is that Problem with GPG/PGP-Signatures. Yes - I know that there is this "workaround" (via AEGYPTEN and friends) and I already tried that - but it still doesn't work. But since I am not really in need of this Crypto-Stuff I can live without it (however I would like to see it working)

Don't fight the Evolution. It's natural.

Another KMailer - Although, after setting some users at work up on it, Evolution is starting to grow on me. KMail could be nicer if it had some reply buttons and such when you're viewing (not previewing) a message

Another vote for sylphed-claws. It's not so pretty as Evolution and such, but its quite fast and low-weigth. It also read newsgroups (Evolution doesnt).

At the university I use pine, because it's easy to ssh to the university to check mail. I considered mutt, but its HTML rendering is non-existant (it actually shows the markup codes).

The Duplicates forum is a good place to search for other threads like this one.
