Hi,
I have a problem with gnome, because when I browse cdrom dir where are video clips, the cdrom device is non-stop reading.
I know that at the beginning the nautilus is creating thumbnails, but when it finishes the cdrom isn't stopping.
It is not only annoying, but also when I watch some video clip I hear that the read head is jumping endlessly from one place to other and when I want to move forward (or backward) I have to wait few seconds when the film skip forward.
But when I change directory in nautilus everything returns to normal.
I noticed that the same thing happens when I read something from hard drive, but hdd is much quicker and I don't have such lags.
PS I wasn't sure where to add this topic, but I thing it is gnome problem.
