hi all,
after upgrading my gentoo box to xorg 7.4/server 1.5/intel driver 2.4.2 all
OpenGL applications using textures like glQuake or glDoom using up all system
memory in a few minutes until my system runs out of memory (2GB RAM + 4GB SWAP)
and the application crashes. No error messages during gameplay or xserver
startup. With xorg-server 1.4 there ware no problems!

| You could run "top" in a terminal to see what process is hogging your RAM. |

hi,
I did and it's the process of the openGL application consuming one CPU core and increases memory consumption of approx 10 -20 MB(!) every second  . the same application runs fine on a system with a nvidia gpu using oly 20-80 MB max.
