|

Using either wrap or ypan as an option for vesafb in my grub.conf results in a black screen and my computer seems to hang. I have read many instances of others using these options... what could I be doing wrong? The mtrr:3 option seems to work as scrolling is faster if it is set as an option.
On a side note and possibly related issue: My nVidia 6600GT has 128MB of memory but when I set the AGP aperture in my BIOS to 128MB, the nVidia drivers refuse to load giving a no device found message. If I set the aperture to 64MB they load fine and seems to work properly without error.
I have not been able to find any mention of either of these issues being posted by others. |

I do not think mtrr:3 makes much of a difference, rather is after exiting from X, the framebuffer is much faster than before running X. |
