I have just intsalled a new MOBO (ASUS M3N-HT) and an AMD Phenom CPU (going from a AMD Athlon 32 bit) . I use my old x86 tarball and disk with the new MOBO.
I have got most things working except one strange problem.
USB seem to work fine and a USB memory stick gets discovered normally by the system. E.g. if I do
# watch lsusb
I can see the USB stick getting recognized by the system and removed from the system as I connect and disconnect it.
However, if I connect my USB mouse it does not get recognized. And moreover, once I have connected a USB mouse one time, my USB stick will not get recognized anymore. It is as if the USB function hangs or gets frozen somehow. I have to do a reboot for the USB stick to get recognized again.
When I connect the USB mouse, there are no messages from dmesg, /var/log/mesasges or lsusb.
Does anyone have any experience of this type of problem? _________________ /Phil |
