How do I determine which chip driver to enable in menuconfig at the "Hardware Monitoring support" menu?

I am enabling temp, voltage, and fan speed sensiing on a number of dis-similar machines. How do I determine which chip drivers to enable for each box/

I did this once before on a single machine, but I seem to recall I used the gentoo wiki then, and it is down now -- long story. :(

Have a look at 'sensors-detect' from sys-apps/lm_sensors.

if you don't have any documentation (or google says nothing for your board), enable all as modules and
run sensors-detect
