After upgrading from 2.6.24 to 2.6.25 kernel my PV951 tvtuner-ir_remote card doesnt work correctly.
The IR part handled by lirc doesnt work,
tvtime works, but xawtv freezes the X.
dmesg:

After trying a lot, I noticed that with a module option:
Code: | options tvaudio ignore="4,0x004b" |
or disabling the multimedia helper modules autoloading option at kernel confuguration and adding:
Code: | options tuner ignore="4,0x004b" |
lirc_i2c will work, but the sound wont be switched off leaving the tv application or in the secon case the tv wont give any sound.
It is interesting that the X freeze (shutdown -r +2 should be run before modprobe -r) unloading the tvaudio module in the 1st case.
So, how can be reached that both the lirc_i2c and tvaudio modules could use the resource at the same time? ![Rolling Eyes ](images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif) |
