Ho appena fatto configurare da un mio amico un server FTP facendo in modo che sia raggiungibile da INTERNET.
Siccome non sono molto ferrato in materia volevo sottoporvi un problemino che non riesco a risolvere.
Se io accedo in modalità testo con il comando ftp riesco ad andare dappertutto e mi dà anche la lista di cartelle e files:

Se io accedo con un client ftp che puo' essere GFTP o FILEZILLA allora sembra accedere ma non mi dà mai la lista di cartelle e files e quindi in modalità grafica non ci posso operare lì dentro... avete idea di cosa possa essere ?
Altre informazioni utili:
La macchina FTP è un server FTP Microsoft
Io accedo da GENTOO con filezilla o gftp come client
Lui ha fatto delle prove col MAC (usando Cyberduck e anche Fetch) e gli funziona...
PS - La mia macchina gentoo riesce comunque ad accedere a un sacco di altri ftp che utilizzo "in giro per il mondo" |

Interessante anche il login da konqueror, con quello funziona
da un'altra macchina il gftp ancora non funziona mentre il filezilla sto giro mi dà qualche informazione in piu'

qualche suggerimento su come ovviare a questo problema ?
(sinceramente mentre spiegavo alla persona come raggiungere il server ftp da terminale mac della sua rete locale in mod. testo ci riusciva e in modalità grafica ci ha messo un bel po' anche da lui quindi ipotizzo un problema sul server)
Ma non me ne intendo, se qualcuno ne sa di piu'.... |

| La cosa strana pero' è che per gli altri indirizzi gFTP tutto funziona con tutto.... |
