|
|
Hello ! I build my gentoo again from scratch and I'm very happy with it. I've got E17, my best USE-tuned networking and sysadmin programs. The kernel is so carefully tuned that I'm getting ultraspeed on booting, like 10 seconds on a 1,7 single core pentium 1 gig RAM !
Now. I know I have installed lots of programs and dependencies. I know sooner or later I will do and update, so:
1-How do I make a backup of the system now ?
2-Can you point me to the right documentation on how to maintain the system without breaking it ? THanks ! |

Search for "stage 4" or make binary packages for all installed (very useful to revert back after a critical failed upgrade or to share the same installation between diffrent machines) the tip is on the forum. _________________ scita et risus abundant in ore stultorum sed etiam semper severi insani sunt
