I just installed Gentoo with Xfce4.
Then I installed the Opera browser. On opening Opera, I get a window with nothing in it, and buttons at the bottom showing "I agree" and "I do not agree".
Is it right to conclude that if I click on "I agree" when the rest of the window is blank, I am agreeing to nothing, and can do whatever I want with my Opera installation? |

imho opera will say they made "best efforts" to confront you with their eula and that the reason you did not see it but still were able to click agree is a technical issue that does not free you from the eula itself. |

I agree with alex. It would be better to try and track down why that's happening and file a bug (with a patch if you can.) |

I had that same problem back in the day with some software provided by an ISP. It was a somewhat scary ordeal, and I requested a copy of the EULA from them before proceeding. If you're interested, I believe this is the current license agreement for Opera (although I'm not 100% sure):
