My global settings or my own personal settings aren't kept after reboot. Everytime I reboot alsa is muted and at 0, even though I set it to 71 on both PCM and Master and unmute. MozillaFirebird goes back to execute /usr/bin/mozilla instead of /usr/bin/MozillaFirebird. How do I fix this?

For the ALSA stuff:
did you start /etc/init.d/alsasound?

Also make sure to read the ALSA Configuration Guide

Well I fixed the alsa problem. Now the Mozilla settings are still apparent. Where are the configuration file for it?

What Desktop Environment are you using?

I guess with 'Mozilla Firebird geos back...' you mean a link to the executable.
