Hi,
I need to connect to the vmware server (where I have my virtual PCs). I emerged vmware-server-console, ran config and it seemd to work just fine. I can connect to the server, manage my PCs, but when I start anyone, I get error message "Unable to connect to the MKS: Host address lookup for server https://XXXX failed: Unknown host." And I'm not getting the output (screen) of that virtual PC.
What am I doing wrong, what did I forget? _________________ Imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality. |

Of the possible ebuilds that are titled vmware, you seem to be running the only stand alone server console package.
The poster in the link you provided says that even though he's not getting the video, the server is actually starting.
If you start the server, then disconnect and wait 10-min or so and reconnect do you get the video? |
