After upgrading yesterday from to KDE 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 I have a problem with the comositing. It is working in general, but it slides the windows in, when I switch from desktop to desktop.
The "slide" effect is turned off. The "cube" is turned on. Other configuration changes take effect. This one not.
Any idea what I can do?

Are you sure you are talking about 4.1.2 and not 4.2? The native KDE desktop effects do not include cube <4.2. Or are you using compiz? And which overlay are you using, if you are indeed using 4.2? _________________ Who shall guard the guards? |

I installed the kde 4.1.2 from the official repository and I am not using compiz. But you are right, I have an installed KDE 4.2 from the kdesvn repo as well. Seems then, that some parts are mixed and thats the reason, why I get the option wit the cube. But no function.
Checking my system now, why this happens.
