KMail crashes

I saved a message to be queued and Kmail crashed & wont restart .
ive tried
moving the .outbox.index.* files from /home/user/mail
which didnt solve it.
Dont mind if I loose these queued files but dont want to loose the rest.
Anyone know what to delete?

What a nasty bug. Haven't seen one of those for some years. AFAIK kmail saves the queue mails in ~/Mail/outbox
This could be a directory or an file, depending on if it's in maildir or mbox format.

Try to move this folder/file away and start kmail again. Good luck.

there is also a couple of hidden directories .outbox.*
moving them did nothing
moving outbox/ sorted it
