When XMMS is started the Volume Control is set to 0, but the music still plays. When you try and move the Volume Control bar it does nothing, this shouldn't be, should it?
Using Alsa 0.9.2, KDE 3.1.2, XMMS is using the ARTSD output plug-in, tried with different plug-ins, most of them don't work since they aren't compatible with ARTSD. Tried starting XMMS with artsdsp, artsdsp -m, and just directly executing the executable, none effect the Volume Control issue.
The issue is solved by disabling ARTSD and changing the output plug-in, but that isn't a very favorable option since most of KDE is designed to use ARTSD, there appears to be no other alternative yet though, so perhaps someone has a better suggestion or a fix for this problem?
Thanks in advanced, all help is greatly appreciated! _________________ The idea of achieving security through national armament is, at the present state of military technique, a disastrous illusion. |
