gentoo_newguy,
The bar ir their ISP may expect you to set up your browser to use a web proxy, in which case normal port 80 won't work.
You will need the host name and port number for the proxy, which you enter in your browser set up. _________________ Regards,

Hey man cheers for always replying.
Everyone else is on the net just fine.
I dont think its a proxy problem but i will give it ago.
But the router is giving everyone else fine access there all on win boxs though.

gentoo_newguy,
Heh - Windows can autodiscover proxies. I don't know how to do that in Linux _________________ Regards,

Thats no problem mate .
Im positive though that its not proxied i have just asked.
Maybe its connected with the wrong type of encryption as i just set it up the same as i did at home but just changed the ssid and psk ?
Could that be possible that its letting me connect for some odd reason but not giving me full rights ?? |

Normally a dhcp client can handle this
on Win youd push out a proxy autoconfig file (.pac). Not sure if this is how it'd work on linux - presumably this depends upon the dhcp server |
