emerge of Mythtv-0.20.2_p15634 fails

I have the problem to emerge mythtv. After a while emerge faills. Here is the build.log file.

from my experance and from what i can tell most error on ebuild are cause buy old packages trying finding the package that owen the file givin problems.

in this example it is

xmlparsebase.cpp i would normaliy do something like this

emerge app-portage/gentoolkit

equery belongs xmlparsebase.cpp

but it did not return any results at leat on my computer so the next thing i would do is

emerge eix

and find all packages that deal with xml and remerge them.
emerge -av `eix -IS xml|grep [[] |awk {'print $2'}|grep /`

or just look at the output of

eix -IS xml

and try emergeing what you think might own xmlparsebase.cpp

then try emrge mythtv again.

you can also try emerge -avu mythtv

xmlparsebase.cpp is a part of mythtv. It is located in the src subdiretory "mythui" of mythtv

Sometimes mythtv compiles under gentoo can run into problems due to old versions of the source in the temporary svn folder. You could try completely removing /usr/portage/distfiles/svn-src/mythtv and see if that helps.

I think this is usually only an issue when upgrading a major version of mythtv, as svn is in fact trying to upgrade the source there rather than just checking out the entire new source.
