I receive this message every time I startup. I have reviewed this fix here https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-543467-start-0-postdays-0-postorder-asc-highlight-.html
It doesnt seem to resolve my problem. I also had my system clock always set to UTC, even when I had edited the /etc/conf.d/clock file. To fix my clock issue I installed NTP and it has been working. Any idea's to what this could be? |

I believe that the problem is when I initially installed the stage3, I didnt have the correct timezone and date correct. So all timestamps are past dated. Just hoping there is a way to resolve this issue.
The error in its entirety is: "/etc/{conf.d,init.d} or /etc/rc.conf has a modification in the future" all through the startup process. |

From reviewing multiple google searches and reviewing Gentoo's bugreports it seemed to sten from the baselayout package. So I unmasked the latest version of baselayout and ran etc-update and restarted and it seemed to fix teh issue. |
