I also haven't got such problems (yet). Without vdpau flag here.

new beta release again 180.16.. should fix most problems with VDPAU (wish it was supported on my card..):

I copied the berkano ebuild to 180.18 but it wont emerge

@Naib : works for me, with a 2.6.27-gentoo-r7 kernel, MTRR support enabled.

Not really sure where this ebuild comes from, has I bumped new versions with it for ages. Anyhow: http://pastebin.com/m203cf2ee
