Ah Gentoo, long it's been since I have browsed thy forum... ahem, excuse me.
Just recently stuck some more memory and hard disk into my server at home so I thought I'd put Gentoo on it rather than Debian. (It's running a Cyrix 233 processor). Everything was running fine until I get to the bootstrap process. 18 hours later (yes, 18 hours!) the damn thing stopped because my brother had turned off his computer which had the internet on it and it couldn't download the required files.
Now obviously this wasn't the way I wanted this to go Is there a way to resume the bootstrapping process or do I have to start from scratch again? _________________ --

Just found another thread which was also useful. I'm rerunning the bootstrap however I've done bootstrap -f first to make sure that everything is downloaded. This way it doesn't matter whether the connection is there or not, I just let it go. _________________ --
