Ok, I was using mysql 4.0.x and upgraded to mysql 5.0.x which has broken my python mysql access. I've rebuilt python, mysql and mysql-python to no avail.
Whenever I run my python scripts it whines that it can't find the 4.0.x lib.
I'm out of ideas.

Sure did.
However, I just discovered the issue a few minutes ago. In the python2.5/site-packages directory there was some "leftover" mysql files. I deleted all the mysql* and _my* files and re-emerged mysql-python and now it works. |
