Salve ragazzi. Ho visto sul relativo sito che Gentoo non è supportato. Tuttavia ero interessato a questo HIDS: nessuno lo ha usato con buon profitto? C'è solo un'altro topic in inglese, che comunque non ha riscontrato alcun risultato.
Se proprio non ci sono speranze per OSSEC, sapete consigliarmi un HIDS che abbia caratteristiche simili per favore?

Perchè dici che non è supportato?
"OSSEC should work on any POSIX compliant system (Linux, BSD, etc) with an ANSI C compiler."
Al limite manca l'ebuild in portage, ma già con un google "ossec ebuild" la PRIMA voce è questa.

Grazie per la risposta richard77. Forse mi manca confidenza con il sistema, ma per "non supportato", io intendevo che non risulta nulla in portage: | Code: | ~ # emerge --search ossec

Ho visto il link che mi hai mandato tu, ma d'altra parte avevo anche gia cercato, ma cio che mi sembra di capire (anche per altri post in questo forum) è che manca un ebuilt per OSSEC. Se non ho interpretato male, anche il link che hai postato tu, riporta: | Quote: | | Resolution: WONTFIX |
Ovvero, problema "non corretto". Sbaglio?
In ogni caso la mia intentenzione è avere un HIDS: avevo sentito parlare bene di questo prodotto ad una conferenza, ma se qualcuno di voi conosce qualcosa di meglio o alternativo, sono pronto ad ascoltare

Visto che nessuno si è fatto avanti per "adottare" il pacchetto e supportarlo ufficialmente è stato chiuso come wontfix (che starebbe più per "non voglio metterlo a posto"/"non sarà (mai) messo a posto"/"nessuno vuole occuparsene").
Alternative? hardened/rbac + la fetenzia in app-forensics, buon mal di testa.
