Hi,
I an wondering whether there is a reason for the following:
Asus Pc3-d SMP motherboard with Realtek 8139 nic is detected without any problem on Gentoo 1.2 (on irq 11)
The same box (config and all) started with Gentoo 1.4 rc2 detects the same nic on irq 16 (??) and NO eth0 can be found. Basically I can't get anywhere.
Is there an explanation for this weird (imho) behaviour?
Better yet how do I get to a solution if I already set the irq for the pci slot to 11 on the bios (the 1.4 rc2 does not seem to be bothered and still puts it to irq 16)
Any help is much appreciated because even Google does not provide me with much to go on.
TIA
