Hi
I use opera (latest gentoo stable) and I've just found out that I have problems displaying the 'IDEOGRAPHIC FULL STOP' (U+3002) character. It is not shown on the bottom but on the top. I've tested it whithin some accounts on my PC with the same result (always the default font configuration). When I check it with firefox (latest gentoo stable) then this character is displayed in the "right" position (bottom).
that's what I mean: http://klingsor.informatik.uni-freiburg.de/~yanezp/firefox_opera_hiragana.jpg [1]
as you can see even the way the hiraganas 'a' is rendered differs, so it seems that firefox uses a different (default) font configuration in that case. When I checked the default fonts on both browsers then I realized that the default fonts are not the same. But I was not able to set the same font name on both browser because firefox shows font names that are not shown in opera and vice versa.
Does anybody knows which font I should use and/or how I should configure opera to display the CJK symbols and punctuation in the right place?
thanks

the test html code I used for this screenshot:
Code: |
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<html>
<h1>あ。あ.</h1>
</html>
