I'm sort of at a loss here. My ISP has started a monthly bandwidth limit, and after I go over it, I have to pay a hefty amount for each additional gig I download or upload. I've tried looking for a tool to monitor traffic, but most tools are rather extravagant, and seem to be more oriented to observing speeds rather than actual amount transfered. Is there any simple tool that anyone knows offhand? I'm thinking one that runs at start-up, and I can query for my current amount of used bandwidth would be ideal. I also see a lot of people talking about iptables, which seems like a powerful tool but I don't know where to begin when it comes to using it, or if it even does what I want.
Any suggestions are appreciated! |

Check out net-analyzer/vnstat
It can give you reports based on hourly/daily/weekly/monthly/yearly usage. _________________ Ryzen 3700X, Asus Prime X570-Pro, 64 GB DDR4 3200, GeForce GTX 1660 Super
