I was messing around with xorg earlier, and I broke the input drivers so I can no longer kill xorg with ctrl + alt + backspace, or switch to a console and fix the problem. (I know whats wrong, and how to fix it)
So as Linux is booting is there a way to stop xorg from loading?
Or am I going to have to chroot in? |

Kingoftherings,
Press I during the boot process to enter interactive mode.
Do not allow the xdm service to start _________________ Regards,

Thanks.
I did get the problem fixed before you replied, but I had to load up a Live CD. First I tried moving xorg.conf to my home folder, but xorg still loaded without it being there. So I put it back and changed the video driver from "intel" to "intel1", and that finally killed xorg.
But this will be great for future reference. |
