I've been having trouble with my net.wlan0 script recently. After my computer boots up, I have no network access, because I have no IP. If I go ahead and run dhcpcd manually, everything is fine after that. Upon further inspection, dmesg is giving me an error wlan0: No IPv6 routers present.

What would cause it to start looking for an IPv6 router? How do I make it not do that, since I don't have one?

Thanks.

I wonder if the ipv6 use flag has anything to do with this.

All interfaces will report that unless they find an IPv6 router.
The message is generated by the kernel.
To get rid of it, remove IPv6 support from the kernel or install an IPv6 router :)

Okay, so that must not have been the problem.

I'm wondering if it might have been a kernel issue though, because it seems to have gone away after upgrading to the 2.6.28 kernel. I don't know, but since it's working now, I'm not going to complain.
