I've been trying to get NM 0.7.0 working for a little bit and have hit a wall trying to get nm-applet to function. On boot, it starts up but nothing shows up in my tray for it despite there being a process running in the background. When I kill that process and try to run it manually (nm-applet --sm-disable), I get as follows
Code: |
libnotify-Message: Unable to get session bus: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
nm-applet: symbol lookup error: nm-applet: undefined symbol: nm_dbus_settings_system_new

Listing of package versions that might have something to do with it and whatnot.
Code: | [ebuild R ] sys-apps/hal-0.5.11-r6 USE="X acpi crypt laptop -apm -debug -dell -disk-partition -doc (-selinux)" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] sys-apps/dbus-1.2.3-r1 USE="X -debug -doc (-selinux)" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] net-misc/networkmanager-0.7.0 USE="dhclient -dhcpcd -doc -gnutls -nss -resolvconf" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] gnome-extra/nm-applet-0.7.0 USE="-debug" 0 kB

Any help would be appreciated, thanks. _________________ That rank under my username doesn't mean I know everything, it just means I ask a lot of questions. |
