I have VMWare and have setup XP, is there any way to say create a shortcut to launch WinXP on my KDE desktop? and have it just in a window with not alot of tools bars showing on VMWare to make it look a little sleaker? |

You can do a fair bit of that with command line switches:
Also, check out the manual that is installed with your vmware, in

If that's the only thing you are running under vmware, you can just turn off all the toolbars in the vmware menu, then in the misc settings for the virual machine there is an option to automatically start when you load it... And under the wizard that pops up when you load vmware I believe there is a check box to automatically load that virtual machine when vmware starts (or maybe it was in the settings menu too...)
Put those together and you got it...

Actually, it's not bad (well, for Windows), _provided_ you have pots and pots of memory to hand it. If you can't assign your VM 256M +, don't bother. |

its not that bad at all, Im using it now just to test my serve settings, so then i can switch my computers onto it to log on |
