Hi!
Does anybody of you have an idea how to make opera use libflash.so from media-libs/libflash.so as flashplayer plugin instead of the proprietary netscape-flash? I emerged the recent libflash and placed the generated library within an opera pluginpath.
Sadly, opera refrains from loading the plugin:
Code: | eminenz ~ $ export OPERA_PLUGINWRAPPER_DEBUG=10
eminenz ~ $ export OPERA_KEEP_BLOCKED_PLUGIN=1
eminenz ~ $ opera --debugplugin
ERROR: ld.so: object 'libjvm.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored.
ERROR: ld.so: object 'libawt.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored.
Opera Plugin Proxy: NP_Initialize
dlopen(librt.so) successful
operapluginwrapper: [plugin probing] /opt/opera/lib/opera/plugins/libflash.so
operapluginwrapper: [plugin failure] No NPP_GetMIMEDescription
operapluginwrapper: [plugin failure] No NPP_GetValue
operapluginwrapper: [plugin probing] dlclose returned : 0
operapluginwrapper: [plugin probing] Return value : 1 File : /opt/opera/lib/opera/plugins/libflash.so |
I have googled for the "plugin failure" messages, they somehow seem to be related to parts of the gecko sdk; i didn't really find a suiting answer though, found non in this forums nor in bugzilla.
So if you have an Idea or already use that combination (or know why it can't be used) feel free to light up my darkness |
