adsl-start is onme of the less vorbose scripts in the world, you have to search in the logs.
To get a little more info, try adsl-connect to see if that gives you more info.
[EDIT] I discovered that adding DEBUG=1 at the top of /usr/sbin/adsl-start produces very useful output to a file [/EDIT] _________________ I am Beta, don't expect correct behaviour from me.

Hi!
I'm having exactly the same problem, but unfortunately I can't French...
I tried this DEBUG=1 and still don't know where the problem can be.
The first output from adsl-start is:
Code: | ipchains: command not found |
Looking into the debug file that is algo generated, I see that at least it gets the primary and secondary DNS addresses from the router, but the TIME OUT happens anyway.
The funny thing is that I could connect with adsl-start from the LiveCD, but not now...
Any help appreciated....
