I'm trying to set up an SSH server on my Gentoo box, but I get this error when connecting:

ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host

I almost had it working before, it would just ask for a password, then drop the connection.
I belive this stopped working after I went into /etc/ssh/ and deleted everything except: moduli, ssh_config, and sshd_config.
The other stuff was just keys, and I had generated new keys in ~/.ssh, but it doesn't help. |

| Odd, I logged out, logged back in, and it started off not working, now it works all of a sudden... |
