And when you attach it, does dmesg or lsusb tell you something different? |

There's a chance that whatever software it brings (I assume it's windows only stuff) can run on wine. As long as it doesn't require any special driver.
However, that last message seems to be telling us that the HID interface in your kernel can't assing the device to any handler. That might mean that it might be impossible to work with that device unless you patch the kernel so it assigns the device to a given handler. I have zero experience with HID stuff, I still like and use ps2 type hardware for input. |

Please post the output of:
after you've connected the clock to the computer. We can see what kind of device is it.

The problem might be the device, not the software itself (which might be as well, but that could be a secondary problem). If the kernel can't speak to the device in one way or another, wine (nor cedega, nor crossover) will be able to do anything with it, since in Linux there's no way for a program to access directly to your hardware, unless it's via the kernel. That's a good part of its stability and robustness.
I never used mac software so I can't recommend an emulator for that. But if the problem is what I think it is then we are out of luck, until someone patches the kernel to add the needed support.
About mounting it... That shouldn't be a problem if the kernel detected it as an storage device, but it seems to catch your device as a HID one, and HID devices can't and are not intended to be mounted. I am not a kernel guru and I wouldn't even know where to start looking at. But you might want to ask on the kernel mailing lists, I am sure that someone there could tell you were to start looking. |
