ciao gente,
recentemente (a dir la verità me l'ha sempre fatto ma non ci ho mai voluto far niente) ho notato delle velocità di scrittura un po' eccessive in scrittura come si può vedere in questo

certo ci mette a scrivere 76 secondi e rotti ad una velocità media di 55-60x
da notare è che il mio masterizzatore è un teac che dovrebbe fare 24x in scrittura (come gli ho settato) ma pare non gliene freghi niente... la conseguenza di tutto ciò è che il sistema risulta globalmente appesantito come noterete dalla barra di gkrellm
qualche consiglio?
nessuno ha mai sperimentato velocità simili???

di che ti lamenti? la vorrei anchio una media dei 50x, se non ti rovina i cd aspetterai quei 2 minuti :D

si infatti è quello che ho fatto fin'ora... dopotutto sono solo 2 min :D con un 24X... potrei dire che il rallentamento del sistema vale la candela...
ma se c'era un modo di farlo + stabile e darmi la possibilità di usare il sistema tranquillamente...

E' SCSI? Usi l'emulazione SCSI? O i driver ATAPI?

Usi il kernel preemptive? (Sono fissato con questa opzione!) :)

Questo e' il tuo disco: hdc: ATAPI 40X CD-ROM CD-R/RW drive, 1404kB Cache .
Tuttavia non vedo cose strane (il cd che avevi era vuoto?!!?!?).

CMQ, XCDRoast e' solo un tool grafico: che versioni hai dei prog per masterizzare?

si ma non è quello...

è un teac che fa 24x in scrittura con 4 mega di cache... non capisco
cdrecord -scanbus non me funge essì che ho tutti i moduli caricati etc etc

Intende proprio ide-cd che probabilmente ha compilato direttamente nel kernel. Anche io ho
non lo carico se no mi dava dei problemi con il masterizzatore.
