I'm looking for a way for my wife to be able to just put a document on the glass on my HP PSC 1510 all-in-one, hit the "start scan" button, and have the image automatically email or save to a networked drive. Anyone know of a way to do that? I can't seem to get anything in any cups logs or dmesg when I push the button, but I gotta think there's a way to do this...

There's a program called scanbuttond (http://scanbuttond.sourceforge.net/), and a tutorial at linux.com:

http://www.linux.com/feature/59138

Maybe this can give you a start.
