I just installed gentoo on a new system that has a new giganbyte nforce board. I also emerged nforce-net and nforce-audio. When Gentoo is loading up, i think its probing for audio or something, but I get like a screen and a half of all these audio errors. Im not on teh computer now so i cannot telll you the exact errors. Im just wondering what its doing and why im getting these darn errors. I used genkernel and hotplug, so i htink its sumthing to do with loading the modules or something. i did do a lsmod and saw that bot the nvnet driver and the nforce audio driver were properly modprobed. |

I had a hard time getting the nforce-audio driver to work on my system too... so I installed ALSA and I'm using their intel8x0 driver, and it works great. _________________ TheAgent
