I'm using f-prot as virus scanner with amavisd-new. I'm running the automated update-script /opt/f-prot/tools/check-updates.pl every 12 hours.
Today I noticed that this script doesn't work anymore. It gives:

Server error on remote machine.
Fatal error. Exiting...
|
Anyone else who has this problem? Any way to fix it?

I see I was using the old version, provided by portage. For some reason portage doesn't support the newer version? 
Anyway, after manually upgrading it seems to work again.

I downloaded the latest version from the F-Prot website. It says trial-version.
I wonder if this version is still free. Or do we have to pay form now on?

According to the f-prot forum the workstation version is still free.
Anybody have an update on when app-antivirus/f-prot-6.0.2 will be in the portage tree? Being anti-virus software the need is rather urgent. |
